This rather grand and luxurious 4 star hotel is located in the beautiful and historical Sicilian town of Siracusa.  Built in 1862, within a naturally occurring amphitheatre on the costal cliff, the villa was once the former wartime base of Winston Churchill.  Below the hotel are the Latomia dei Cappuccini, an extensive network of caves which have been carved out of the rock face and were once used to hold prisoners following Siracusa’s victory over Athens in 413 BC!
All rooms have been restored to their original 19th century Liberty style and the hotel boasts a stunning panoramic view of the Mediterranean.
